I attended a tasting at the Folsom BevMo this weekend that featured some of the nickel sale wines. My favorites were the Shiloh Road Cabernet Sauvignon and the Belvedere Cab. The Shiloh Road was a lighter version and the Belvedere was a heavier cab, but both were great!

What is your favorite from the nickel sale?

Dorian- Budget Vino

So far the EOS Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 is one of my favorites. I also love the Hoya de Cadenas Tempranillo.

I went to BevMo yesterday and bought a bunch of wine. I'll let you know if any of them make my favorites list!

My wife and I went last night. The specific Bevmo we went to didn't have that Almira Los Dos I emailed you about, sadly.

We picked up the Spanish Cava Sparkling Wine (4 bottles), one of the German Rieslings (Blueish label-4 bottles) Vichon Pinot Noir (4 bottles) and Roshambo's Zinfindel (2 bottles) and the Syrah (4 bottles...or reverse and possibly got 2 bottles of syrah and 4 bottles of Zin?! We laughed at the label name but mainly got them due to price and rating)

I'll report back once we crack a bottle or two if we picked well or poorly. Always a gamble with these $0.05 sales!

He Orion, A. Your a Raider fan
B. you live in the sacto area like me?

We should meet up or arrange something. There's tons of new wine bars and plenty of places to grab wine around the area!

WeddingWine

I'm looking for some suggestions for my wedding. I'm not a wine drinker but there are a lot of wine drinkers attending. The wedding will be outside in August (probably 70 to 80 degress if that matters). Food will be meat, rice, maybe some seafood - fairly bland. I was thinking some red wine, white wine, and either champagne or sparkling wine for the toast. I would like to take advantage of this 5 cent sale but I just have no idea what to buy. How often does this 5 cent sale come around - mabye I should wait until closer to August. Thanks for your help!
